Mission Statement and Goals
Granite City Alumni Association will support Granite City School District #9 and the surrounding community through advocacy, volunteerism, facilitation of communication and preservation of the spirit and traditions of the Granite City School District. The Granite City Alumni Association has three main goals:
Increase communication between GCSD9 and the public, particularly our alumni. We want to provide an outlet for our alumni to see the regular achievements of our school district, and to stay in touch with their alma mater.
Create a network of graduates who have skills and knowledge valuable to our fellow alumni and current students. Our alumni will support each other and make our schools and community stronger.
Establish a system for alumni to provide donations to fund small to middle size capital campaign projects. We can make a difference one project at a time. We will begin a Granite City Alumni Association Scholarship for deserving graduating seniors.
The Granite City Alumni Association is an affiliate of the Granite City Area Community Foundation. The GCACF is a 501(c)3 non-profit and adheres to all of the guidelines required by the IRS for non-profit organizations.
